Keep stairwells clear

The stairwell is an important part of the building’s safety. It is our common escape route in case of fire and must therefore always be kept free from items. We would like to remind everyone that it is not allowed to place or store things in the stairwell.

This applies especially to electric scooters, strollers, bicycles, doormats and other items. Even if they may feel small or practical to keep nearby, they involve several risks:

• Fire risk: Electric scooters and other electronic equipment can catch fire while charging. In a stairwell, smoke can quickly fill the entire space.
• Escape route: Everyone must be able to exit quickly and safely in an emergency. Items in the stairwell can block the way and cause dangerous situations.
• Access for emergency services: In case of fire or accident, firefighters and paramedics must be able to enter and move around the building without obstacles.
• Cleaning and maintenance: Our cleaning company needs free areas to keep the stairwells clean and pleasant. Doormats and objects along the walls make their work harder and less effective.

Storage space is available in the entrance storage rooms, where scooters, strollers and bicycles can be placed.
