Sort your waste correctly

Recently, we’ve seen an increase in issues related to incorrect sorting and littering in our waste rooms.

Items such as electronics, frying pans, glassware, textiles, and garbage bags filled with unsorted waste have been left in or outside the rooms – sometimes directly on the floor. These items do not belong in the waste rooms and must be taken to a recycling center.

Incorrect use of the waste rooms is more than just an inconvenience – it may lead to additional costs for cleaning, penalty fees from our waste contractor, or even the installation of surveillance cameras. These are measures we’d prefer to avoid if everyone does their part.

Here are some simple but important reminders:

  • Never leave anything on the floor. If a bin is full, find another waste room or wait for it to be emptied.
  • Bulky waste, electronics, porcelain, and textiles must not be left here.
  • Bags filled with unsorted trash are not allowed – always sort your waste first.
  • Packaging should be emptied and folded before disposal.

Sorting your waste properly is easy, cost-effective, and most importantly, environmentally responsible. For more guidance on how to sort different types of waste, visit sopor.nu – a helpful national guide to recycling in Sweden.

Thank you to everyone who sorts correctly and helps keep our waste rooms clean and functional for all!
