The Nomination Committee is looking for new board members

The Nomination Committee is now starting its work ahead of the annual meeting. Maybe you – or someone you know – could be a future board member?

In a housing association, everything is based on member democracy. We, the residents, own the association together – and we are jointly responsible for how it is managed and developed.

The Nomination Committee has now begun its work to prepare a proposal for next year’s board. To do this well, they rely on input and nominations from members. That’s why they are looking for residents who care about the association and are curious about what board work involves.

Being part of the board is an important role. It gives insight, knowledge, and the opportunity to influence matters such as finances, maintenance, safety, and everyday living. Board work is done as a team, with support from professional managers and the Nomination Committee.

What does the Nomination Committee do?

The Nomination Committee’s task is to propose a board that best represents the association’s interests. They talk to the current board, listen to members’ perspectives, and look for people who want to contribute with engagement and ideas.
